[Phoenix, AZ] — December 10, 2025 —Life Is Chill Education proudly celebrated a successful debut of The Modern Elder Wellness Expo drawing nearly 100 older adults (55+) to the Phoenix Shrine Auditorium for a free, stigma-free day of cannabis and wellness education.
The event brought together Arizona’s senior community for expert-led learning, hands-on product exploration, and meaningful peer connection. Attendees participated in interactive learning rooms, explored a range of cannabis formats, and engaged in open, supportive conversations about wellness and aging.
“This turnout and response were incredibly affirming,” said Star Simmons, Co-Founder of Life Is Chill Education. “Older adults are looking for clear, credible guidance about cannabis and how it fits into healthy aging. The Modern Elder Wellness Expo was created to meet that need—and the enthusiasm in the room made it clear this community is ready for more.”
A cornerstone of the Expo was the Education Symposium, featuring two of Arizona’s most respected medical cannabis leaders. Dr. Sue Sisley, MD, President of the Scottsdale Research Institute, delivered a keynote on the evolving clinical research landscape and the latest science supporting therapeutic cannabis use. Dr. William Troutt, NMD, Medical Director at Trulieve and a leader in integrative family medicine, offered practical, evidence-based guidance on how modern elders can approach cannabis safely and effectively. Both presentations were met with strong engagement and enthusiastic feedback from attendees.
Participants praised the approachable, empowering environment, noting the value of hearing directly from medical professionals and peers alike. Many also highlighted the Expo’s interactive elements, including community activities, informational resources, and wellness-focused vendor booths, as both educational and enjoyable.
With overwhelmingly positive feedback and strong community interest, Life Is Chill Education plans to build on this momentum and expand The Modern Elder Wellness Expo into an annual Arizona tradition, including smaller events throughout the year.
